Three Ways to Find a Surrogate
Once you’ve decided on surrogacy, the next question is how you’ll find a surrogate — and you have three options: you can use a surrogacy agency, search independently, or work with a search service.
Donor Concierge is the third. We search across a broad network of trusted surrogacy agencies to find a surrogate who meets your specific criteria and present a candidate whose records our in-house team has reviewed. We stay with you through your clinic's review and the match call, until your surrogate has medical clearance.
We’ve helped 5,000+ families find the right donor or surrogate. Our recommendations are driven by your criteria, not by referral fees.

Why a Single-Agency Approach Limits Your Search
When you search through one surrogacy agency, you can only consider the candidates in its current pool. If the right surrogate is not available, your timeline may depend on when a suitable candidate enters the program.
To expand your options, you may need to contact several agencies, manage multiple conversations, and track each agency’s process on your own. Even then, each agency moves at its own pace, and you’re the one keeping every conversation moving.
Donor Concierge expands your search beyond a single pool. We search across the full network, confirm availability, and identify candidates who meet your specific criteria.
How Traditional Surrogacy Agencies Work
A surrogacy agency recruits and screens surrogates, then finds a match between you and a candidate in its program. The agency supports you and your surrogate from matching through the post-birth process, assisting with communication, legal agreements, and logistics.

What an Independent Surrogate Search Involves
An independent surrogate search means finding a surrogate through personal connections or online platforms rather than a traditional agency. You gain direct control over the search and the relationship.

You also take on everything an agency would otherwise handle: finding legal counsel, coordinating medical evaluations and travel, managing communication between all parties, and confirming the surrogate meets your clinic’s screening requirements.
How Donor Concierge Works
Your dedicated case manager runs the search, screens each candidate against your criteria and your clinic’s requirements, and presents one surrogate who meets them. We handle the communication with each agency. Once you confirm a match, we coordinate the handoff to the agency you choose and stay in communication with the agency through medical clearance.

Step 1
Search
We search the network and our in-house medical records team reviews candidates against ASRM guidelines and your clinic's requirements. Only candidates who clear that review, and who are available and ready to start, come to you.

Step 2
Review
You receive one pre-approved candidate's profile. If she's a fit, we contact her agency and arrange a video call so you can meet her before any financial commitment.

Step 3
Confirm the Match
After the call, your clinic reviews her medical records. Once they approve, you and the surrogate each confirm within 24 hours. You sign the agency agreement, and we stay in communication with the agency through medical clearance.

When a Concierge Surrogacy Service Makes the Most Sense
A concierge surrogate search makes the most sense when the candidate pool at a single agency isn't meeting your criteria. We search every agency in our network at the same time, instead of leaving you to work through them one at a time.
If you’re working within a timeline, the search runs to a defined window rather than to another agency's intake schedule — a match within two months through our Basic program.
That leaves you one decision to make: whether the surrogate we present is right for you.
Choosing the Right Surrogacy Path for You
The right approach depends on how much of the process you want to manage, how specific your criteria are, and how quickly you need to move.
If your priority is
The stronger fit is
Specific criteria a single agency has not met
Concierge search — broader network, one candidate presented at a time
End-to-end coordination from search through birth
Traditional agency — manages screening, legal, and medical processes throughout
Knowing what you'll spend before you commit
Concierge search — a one-time flat fee, and no large agency fees until you've confirmed the match
The lowest possible cost, and full control of the process
Independent searching — requires significant self-management
