This Too Shall Pass

When I was in college and hunkering down for finals, I ran into one of my professors at the college bookstore. I mentioned how stressed I was about my upcoming exams and she said to me “This too shall pass”. It was that reassuring tone of someone I respected that helped me put things in perspective.

I know that what we are facing now is much more stressful than finals but it will also pass. Not as soon as we might like but it will pass.

For all of you who have been struggling to create families, I hope you can keep a positive outlook. While this is yet another stumbling block on the road to your goal it is not an insurmountable one, but a temporary pause.

My commitment to you is that we are here for you. We are in this together and are ready to help you make your dream of a family, a reality.

In many ways, this is a good time to be looking for a surrogate, to find your perfect egg donor, or both. While medical screenings may be on pause, there are many women who are now sheltering in place and who may decide that this is a good time to consider becoming an egg donor or surrogate.

We’ve been talking non-stop this week with our egg donor and surrogacy agency partners, fertility clinics and reproductive attorneys to find out what’s next. While it’s not entirely business as usual, there are many egg donors and gestational carriers who are ready to match. Because we have such an expansive network of agencies, we can help you find a donor who may be local to your clinic, or a surrogate who is willing to wait until regular life begins again.

I want you to know that we are here for you. We are all in this together.
